Location: Alta – Sorrisniva, Finnmark (Northern Norway)
Join us during our busiest season – the Arctic winter season! You will be part of a dedicated team, creating memorable experiences for guests from around the world. Sorrisniva AS is a year-round adventure company located on the banks of the Alta River, just outside of Alta town. The company is rooted in local traditions and values. Our Arctic Wilderness Lodge is open year-round with 24 suites and the Maku restaurant. During winter, we also have an ice hotel and an à la carte restaurant, Lavvu. Sorrisniva offers a variety of exciting activities throughout the year. In addition to dinner service, we serve breakfast and lunch, and we host events and meetings.
We are now seeking full-time chefs for the winter season.
We need multiple chefs at various levels, as well as breakfast chefs and dishwashing staff.
Sorrisniva delivers high-quality cuisine with a first-class kitchen. You will be part of a young and dedicated team of chefs, creating memorable culinary experiences daily. You should be a passionate food enthusiast, experienced, and eager to adapt to our kitchen while also being able to influence and share your expertise. Excellent service towards your team and our guests is one of the most important qualities you will bring to the job. Chefs report to the head chef. The position includes day, evening, and weekend shifts.
Responsibilities:
Work various shifts, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner
Be mindful of allergies and special requests
Work in the Maku restaurant or Lavvu restaurant, with a first-class menu or à la carte service
Prepare, cook, and clean the kitchen
Assist where needed, oversee the entire operation, and ensure the quality of the guest experience
Qualifications:
Relevant education
Experience working in a kitchen will be emphasized
Genuine interest in delivering an excellent culinary experience
Professional certification as a chef is an advantage
Good language skills. English, both spoken and written, is a minimum requirement.
